Change your mind within 14 days
For plans and gifts delivered in the UK, Ireland or Germany you can withdraw within 14 days of receiving the first box, without giving a reason. No login needed. (In Ireland this is called your right to cancel.)
We’ve received your withdrawal
An acknowledgement with the content of your withdrawal and the date and time we received it is on its way to your email.
What happens next?
If nothing has been sent yet, we cancel and refund everything you paid, straight away. If a box has arrived, we cancel and nothing more is sent or charged; post the books back within 14 days of withdrawing and we refund what you paid, including standard delivery, as soon as the books or your proof of posting reach us (and no later than 14 days after you withdrew, if they arrive before then). We refund to the card you paid with, at no cost to you.
Who pays for returning books?
You do: return postage is the only cost of withdrawing. Pack the books so they arrive in the condition you received them; we can deduct for any loss in value caused by handling them more than you’d need to in order to see what they are.
When does the 14 days start?
On the day you (or someone you name, other than the carrier) receive the first box. For a gift, the buyer can withdraw within 14 days of the recipient receiving their first box, and an unredeemed gift can be refunded at any time. A withdrawal sent through this page before the period ends is on time.
Other ways to withdraw
You can also email us, write to us, or use the model withdrawal form in your order confirmation. Our address is on the legal notice.
Not in the UK or EU?
There’s no 14-day withdrawal right elsewhere, but you can still cancel any time, from your account or with Cancel contracts here. If you send this form anyway, we treat it as a cancellation.
