Book Passport
Where has this book been?
Inside every stray’s cover is a small sticker with a code. Look it up to see the book’s journey and the notes readers left in its margins.
How passports work
A book with a travel diary
Rescued
The first stamp
When we buy a book at a library sale or estate sale, it gets a code and a stamp for the city it came from.
Read
A stamp per reader
Each time a member receives it, the passport records the city and their rating. Members can leave a short margin note.
Rehomed
Pass it on
Gift it, leave it in a Little Free Library or trade it back. Stamp the passport and see where it goes next.
Privacy: passports only ever show a city and state (or just the state, if a member prefers), never an address. Names appear as first name and initial, and every note is checked by a person before it’s shown.
