How charging works
When am I charged?
On the day you join, then on the same date every month (or every other month). If you join on the 31st, shorter months renew on their last day and the next month goes back to the 31st. We email you three days before each renewal.
Can I change my plan later?
Any time, from your account. Changes made before your renewal date apply to that box. There are no partial charges or prorations: the new price simply starts with the next box.
Is sales tax included?
Prices are before tax. Books are taxable in most states, so we add sales tax at checkout based on your shipping address and show it on every receipt.
How does prepaying for a year work?
You pay once for twelve months of boxes (six if you chose every other month) and save 10%. We email you 30 days before the year renews. Cancel before then and it won’t renew; the boxes you’ve paid for keep arriving.
What if I cancel?
Cancel online in two clicks. You won’t be charged again, and any box you’ve already paid for still ships. If a paid box hasn’t been matched yet, you can ask us to refund it instead.
Which payment methods do you take?
Major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
